Bishop Laura Merrill has announced her intention to appoint Rev. Dr. Michael Mattox as interim pastor for Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, effective May 15 through June 30, 2023.
Bishop Merrill stated, “I am glad that Rev. Mattox is willing to serve in this way. This is a time of wonderful possibility
for the United Methodists of Central Fayetteville, and his leadership will be a great gift.”

several years, and I am thrilled she will be the new Senior Pastor after Annual Conference,” shared Rev. Dr. Mattox.
