This January, we are focusing on stewardship, which simply means taking care of something with which we’ve been entrusted. During our January sermon series called All In: Believe, Serve, Give, we will be looking at what it means to be all in in our faith, our service and our stewardship of the things God trusted to us. We will learn more about what it means to give, the biblical tithe, and how our faith in Christ inspires us to live generously in the world. In the coming weeks, you’ll be receiving a letter that includes information about the Central UMC 2024 Ministry Funding
Plan (operating budget) and stories about Central's various life-changing ministries. We want to invite you to think about how God is calling you to steward your resources. You’ll be given an Estimate of Giving card and invited to talk about what you might give, pray for God’s guidance, and consider other non-financial ways the Holy Spirit is leading you to commit to Central UMC in 2024. Sunday, January 28, will be Central’s Commitment Sunday. We invite you to bring back your estimate of giving card on that Sunday or fill it out online here. During both services, we will dedicate the commitments for the 2024 year. Following the 11
am service, we will host a Commitment lunch in the CAC to celebrate God’s faithfulness to Central UMC. You can register for lunch here. The earliest Christians were called “Followers of the Way.” We are followers of the way of Christ when our community works together to live into God’s peace, wisdom, trust, and courage. At Central, we want to be all in with Jesus. Thank you for the many ways you help make Central a powerful
witness in our community! |
