Central United Methodist Church, I loved celebrating the resurrection with every one of you this week. I still feel the glow from Sunday, a day of pure joy from start to finish. I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to thank every single person who made our Holy Week and Easter services an incredibly meaningful success. Hundreds of volunteers did hours and hours of work to make sure our campus was welcoming to all: from planning communion maps (this really happened!), to spray painting crosses, to planting flowers, to ushering, greeting, singing, playing instruments, to taking photos and film, brewing
coffee, steaming tablecloths, passing out flowers, running media/sound, and more. Even if you just showed up and said a warm hello to the people around you, you were a witness to the amazing resurrection work of Jesus in this church and all of our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Finally, I want to say a word of thanks to our incredible staff. You all have witnessed much of the work of organizing, prepping and showing up for our events that they do, but there is even more behind-the-scenes they accomplish that goes unseen. I am so excited to work with this team every day! The empty tomb means we
don't have to wait for eternity to experience the new life we have in Jesus! Resurrection starts now, and I see it happening every day at CUMC. Grace and Peace, Jennie
