Our Lenten sermon series is called Witnesses. We will be looking at the various perspectives of people who stood at the foot of the cross. Join this Sunday as we look at the Thieves on the Cross. Our scripture is 

Luke 23:39-43.

Central Men's Brunch

Our Central Men's Group will have their monthly meeting this Saturday March 9th at 9am on the second floor of the SMB. Join us for food and fellowship. 

SOUP AND SERMON

It's time for our 2nd Annual Soup and Sermon series, a collaboration of 3 Fayetteville church communities: Central UMC, St. Paul's Episcopal, and First Christian. Our first Soup and Sermon is next Tuesday, March 11th @ 12pm. We will be at Central in the Sanctuary. Join us for a short worship service and then stick around for fellowship and a bowl of delicious soup in the CAC! All are welcome.

LENT STUDY PREVIEW

Our Lent Wednesday night study, Seven Words, will begin March 12 at 6pm in Wesley 310. Join us as we reflect on the seven final sayings from Jesus on the cross. We will begin each session with communion! Register for the class here. Purchase your book here.

HYMN FESTIVAL CONCERT

Don't miss this gathering of 3 amazing choirs from the ARUMC connection and the DFW Brass Ensemble in our Central UMC Sanctuary! Join us March 16 @ 3pm for an afternoon of beautiful music and worship. Admission is free.

BE SALT BE LIGHT

Amid social turmoil are you asking what Christians must do to be the hands and feet of Jesus? Join the CUMC Salt and Light Team to discuss actionable steps we as United Methodist Christians should take to follow Jesus out of the building and into our community. Meetings will take place March 9,16, 23, 30 in the CAC at 5pm.Register here.

BEER AND HYMNS

Beer and Hymns will be hosting "I Am Every Woman" events benefitting League Women Voters of Arkansas March 9th at the Tontitown Winery and March 16th at Bike Rack Brewing 5-7 pm.

LENTEN CROSSES FOR SALE

EASTER EGG HUNT

Central Kids Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place Easter Sunday at 10 am in the SMB. Egg and filler donations will be accepted through Lent. Contact Erika Regier on ways you can help.

LITTLE FREE LIBRARY

Did you know Central has a Little Free Library on the corner of Highland and Dickson? Each week we fill the library with books for readers of all ages, and each week our shelves are emptied. If you have extra books (fiction or non-fiction) that you're willing to donate, drop them by the church office or share them with Erika in the SMB. Thanks for helping us share the gift of reading with our neighbors!

CRAWFISH BOIL: Youth Fundraiser

This Sunday, March 9th, get ready for an amazing treat! Our Central Youth are selling crawfish plates to raise funds to support scholarships for Central Youth trips and events that provide life changing connection and growth. Last year we gave out 23 scholarships and this year we are hoping to do even more! Pick up is between 10am-2pm west of the CAC with tables outside.

Canopy Family Needs

In December, we welcomed a family from Zambia via the refugee program through Canopy NWA. Fidel and her son, Klement, just moved to Fayetteville and our Circle of Welcome has put together a list of items that will help make their new house a home. Parking Deck: You may have seen the press release annoucing that Central has officially begun our parking agreement with the City of Fayetteville. This is a pay-to-park arrangement; however, we do not anticipate any disruption to your parking needs. Please note that there will be no enforcement by the city on all day on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. If you would like to ensure uninterrupted parking on all days, please provide your license plate number to Jaime Reinen at jreinen@centraltolife.com.
