Easter and Holy Week Events

PALM SUNDAY

Sunday, April 13th is Palm Sunday! All Central Kids to meet 5 minutes before the 9 am in the CAC lobby or 11 am service in the Narthex if they want to participate in the palm branch processional. If your child plans to sing in the services, please sign up here.

SOUP AND SERMON

Join us @ Central in our sanctuary for this Lent's final Soup and Sermon Series on Tuesday, April 15th @ 12pm. We hope to see you for a short worship service, fellowship, and a bowl of delicious soup.

MAUNDY THURSDAY

Maundy Thursday is Thursday, April 17th @ 6pm in the Sanctuary. Join us for a meaningful service remembering Jesus and his disciples breaking bread at the Last Supper.

GOOD FRIDAY

Join us Friday, April 18th @ 6pm in the CAC for worship. This will be a time of singing, reading scripture and reflecting on Christ's sacrifice as we approach Easter Sunday.

EASTER SUNDAY

Come Celebrate Easter at our many worship services on April 20th:

7am Sunrise service outside Sanctuary (bring a chair)

9am Classic in Sanctuary

9am Contemporary in CAC

11am Classic in Sanctuary.

Be sure to bring flower stems to any Easter Service to help our living crosses bloom! Check out more Easter info in this video.

CORE CENTRAL SUNDAY

Join us April 27th @ 10am for Core Central! We'll ignite and empower one another by celebrating how God has moved through our ministries over the past year. Together, we'll extend invitations, empower growth, and engage in impactful ministry.

Adult Ministries

MEN'S BRUNCH

Our Central Men's Ministry will be meeting on April 12th @ 9am. on the 2nd floor of the SMB. Join us for food, fellowship, and help plan the Central Core breakfast menu! If you plan on helping serve at Central Core Sunday, email Brandon Williams.

Inclusive Connections

Our Inclusive Connections ministry will meet April 10th @ 630pm in Wesley Room 102. Join us as we plan for our upcoming movie night in May and Pride Parade plans for June. For more information reach out to Kennie Goff.

Next Gen Ministries

HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR DINNER

Sunday, May 4th @ 5pm will begin a heartfelt event honoring the achievements and milestones of our high school graduating seniors, filled with prayers, speeches, and moments of reflection. Please be sure to register here and join us to celebrate!

WELCOME NEW CONFIRMANDS

Last Sunday, we welcome 23 new confirmands here at Central! We are so proud of each of you and look forward to all the amazing ways you will grow in Christ and serve others at Central United Methodist Church.

YOUTH @ U of A WESLEY

Our Central Youth will be at the U of A Wesley on April 14th @ 5pm. Be sure to drop off and pick up at 520 N. Lindell Ave.

VBS TSHIRT DEADLINE

Be sure to register for VBS by April 15th to get a T-shirt. We are still looking for volunteers, so be sure to reach out to Erika for more ways you can help!

HS SENIOR WESLEY NIGHT

All HS Seniors are invited to attend the Wesley College Service on April 15th @ 530pm at the U of A Wesley Building to get a sneak peak of our college ministry service.

EASTER EGG HUNT

Central Kids Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place Easter Sunday April 20th @ 10am in the SMB! We need your help pre-filling eggs. Bring items to the church office or leave them in the Welcome Center/Narthex before worship. Contact Erika Regier for other ways to help.

CHILDREN'S SAFETY CENTER

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Central is proud to support the Children's Safety Center as our mission spotlight this month. You may have seen their signs around town—especially at the corner of Dickson and Highland.

The Child Safety Center serves children and families in crisis by providing forensic interviews for victims of abuse, as well as offering extensive training to the community on child abuse prevention.

If you have the chance, consider stopping by for a tour or simply giving them a call to learn more. You’ll find a welcoming face—or a kind voice on the other end of the line—ready to share how they’re making a difference.

This is a pay-to-park arrangement; however, we do not anticipate any disruption to your parking needs.
