BEER & HYMNS

Grab a friend and join us for Beer and Hymns event taking place @Tontitown Winery on Sunday, July 13 @ 5pm. This month's events will be raising money for NWA Canopy. For more information visit Beer and Hymns.

CENTRAL 20's/30's

Attention 18-35 year olds, Central is wanting to start a young adults ministry! We would love to learn more about your interests and how we can plan events and build a ministry with you. Please fill out our interest survey . For more information reach out to Virginia Brown.

GOODTIMERS EVENT

If you are 65 and up, join us for GoodTimers Event on Wednesday, July 23 in Building C @1130-1 pm. Join us for a diner theme with hamburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream sundaes. We are excited to listen to music from the 1950's-70's, share a meal, and have fellowship with our Central members. See you then!

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Mark your calendars for Christmas in July at Central! It's too early for Christmas sweaters, but it's never too early to celebrate Christ’s birth—complete with Christmas carols, Christmas stories about the Wisemen who brought gifts to Jesus, and yes, Christmas PJs are welcome! On July 27th we will deck the halls (metaphorically) in red and green and remember that the miracle of Jesus is good news every day, not just in December.

As part of our Christmas in July celebration, I want to share a brief financial update and invite you to bring a Christmas sized offering to help us prepare for Fall Kick off events. As of June 2025, our offering gifts have outpaced our 2024 giving by nearly $300,000. This is an incredible testimony to the faithfulness and generosity of each of you, and the powerful momentum of our church community. Historically, Q3 (July - September) is our lowest giving quarter. It's also the time when we host many important fall events like Back to School Bash and Trunk or Treat and begin preparing for Confirmation and welcoming new U of A Wesley college students. On this Christmas in July, please prayerfully consider giving a bold gift in person or online so that we can continue in all the amazing things God has planned for us in the coming months here at Central.

Don't forget: July 27th at 9am or 11am. Bring a friend, and let’s proclaim: Joy to the World—in any season!

MILESTONE BIBLES

We are excited to celebrate the milestones of our 3 year old's, Kindergarteners, and 3rd graders with a bible presentation on Sunday, August 24. Please register your child here by August 17 so we can communicate how they can participate and receive their bibles.

CONFIRMATION CLASS REGISTRATION

Confirmation is a class for 6th-8th grade students to learn what it means to be a United Methodist and a member at Central. The class runs early September to late April and meets at the 10:00 Sunday School Hour on the 2nd floor of building D (Student Ministries Building). Register your student here.

MAGDALENE SERENITY HOUSE

This month's ministry spotlight is Magdalene Serenity House. Central United Methodist is a proud mission partner with this impactful organization that helps rebuild the lives of women who have experienced trauma, sexual exploitation, addiction, and incarceration through safe housing, long-term support, and community partnerships. Magdalene Serenity House provides a comprehensive, collaborative and structured residential program that can comfortably house up to 8 women for two years, at no cost to them.
