BACK TO SCHOOL BEST On Monday, August 11th, members of Central United Methodist hosted the annual Good Sam Back to School Best event at Asbell Elementary where students from across the Fayetteville School District were gifted brand new clothes, shoes, socks, back packs and school supplies. The students were also given new haircuts and back to school hair styles by local stylists from Shag Salon and the Barber Designer Academy in Springdale. Our Central youth greeted the students and
families, helped the students try on their new shoes to insure the perfect fit, and served a delicious Chick Fil A lunch made possible by donations from our members and friends of Central. Because of our generous donors and volunteers, these students walked in to school Tuesday feeling confident and ready to have a great school year!! Every child should feel their best on the
first day of school. We were so grateful to receive back to school photos from the students' mothers who had grateful hearts because of your generosity. Thank you for loving these families in our community! |
THE BIBLE YEAR PODCASTIn this week’s episode of It’s Not Complicated, we explore three powerful letters from Paul: We highlight Colossians’ focus on the supremacy of Christ and the call to stay rooted in Him, while warning against false teachings. In
1 Thessalonians, we see Paul encouraging a young church to stay strong in faith, live holy lives, and look forward to Christ’s return. Finally, in 2 Thessalonians, Paul offers clarity on the Day of the Lord, addressing confusion and urging believers not to be idle but to keep doing good as they wait in hope. You can check out previous episodes here! Or find it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Youtube. |
