LOVING PEOPLE AND PLANET IN GOD'S NAME CLASS
Join us on Thursday, September 11, 6-8pm in building B room 306 for a transformative study on creation care! This six-week study, Loving People and Planet in God's Name will led by Rev. Lindsey Russell. The purpose of this course is to empower individuals and congregations to faithfully respond to

David Williams joins us as our new Director of Contemporary Worship Director. David has extensive musical experience in worship leadership, and a heart for engaging the congregation. He will oversee the planning, coordination, and leadership of our contemporary worship services. Some of you may remember David who grew up at Central and served in contemporary
worship. He is also part of an amazing band called Fox and Foal. We’re thrilled to welcome David back, along with his wife Kristen and their daughter Charlie. |
Maintenance Supervisor – Dana SchaferWe are excited to welcome Dana
Schafer as our new Maintenance Supervisor. Dana brings valuable skills in building care, grounds management, and facility safety to ensure our campus remains a welcoming space for all. Her dedication and expertise is already making a difference. Dana moved to NWA from Oklahoma with her partner, Nicole. Together they enjoy getting out and trying different restaurants (have any recommendations? Let Dana know!). |
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Michael SpruellIn late June, we
welcomed Michael Spruell as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Michael follows former Financial Director, Keri Hays. He brings valuable experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, all of which will strengthen our church’s financial health and stewardship of resources. He also has a background in investing, trading, and money management—expertise that adds depth to our financial oversight. His specialized insights will help Central as we plan for the future!
Michael lives in Northwest Arkansas with his wife Kristy, their son William, and daughter Lillian. The active Spruell family homeschools their children and owns and operates the CFSS Gym based in Siloam Springs, AR. |
Executive Administrator / HR Coordinator – Kailee HousleyWe also
welcome Kailee Housley as our new Executive Administrator and HR Coordinator. Kailee fills the position formerly held by Theresa Henretty, who retired last month. Kailee brings a heart for ministry, organizational excellence, and skills in staff support and administrative coordination. Kailee will serve as a vital link between our church leadership, staff, and congregation, ensuring our ministries are well-supported and run smoothly. You will see Kailee and their son, Mars at our church

NEXT GEN LEADER TRAININGOn Sunday, August 24 @ 5-7pm, we will be having our annual NextGen leader training in building D. This is a time for any NextGen volunteers to come hear updates to programming from the new year and talk about skills and policies related to working with

CONFIRMATION CLASS REGISTRATIONConfirmation is a course for 6th-8th grade students to help them learn what it means to be a United Methodist and a member at Central. In April, each student will be given the opportunity to join Central UMC as a member. The class begins September 7

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS NextGen Wednesdays will start again on September 10! This includes both Club K6 and Youth Hang Time. Club K6 is a time for Kindergarten-6th graders to come together for worship, bible stories, games, and crafts from 6-7:30pm in building D.
Youth Hang Time is a time for 7th-12th graders to come together and hang out in a safe space with games, snacks, and good times from 4-7:30pm. Dinner is provided for those at Hang Time.
SUNDAY NIGHTS Sunday Nights kick off for our NextGen Youth (7th-12th grades) on September 7 @5-7pm in building D. Dinner will be provided, so bring a friend and come worship with us! We can't wait to get started up this fall
