Dear Central UMC Family,
As we prepare for our final Trinity UMC Adoption Informational meeting this weekend I wanted to share a copy of the packet that was handed out at our
first gathering and will be handed out again on Sunday. It provides information about the mission and timeline of this new venture should we decide to accept the opportunity, as well as some answers to the most common questions we’ve gotten since this process began. You can read more here.
A couple of things to remember. Final decisions have not been made. We are still in a time of listening, learning, and continuing to gather vital information about this opportunity and what is at stake. The adoption will not be official until the
Church Council votes to approve it, and these informational meetings are a part of the adoption discernment process. With that in mind, these are information-giving meetings, not decision-making meetings to allow for conversation and clarity. If you’re unable to make it to our final meeting and have other questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you
for being a community who is willing to consider new things! You show and share the love of Jesus in so many amazing ways. I love being your pastor, and I look forward to seeing God work in and through this congregation for many years to come.
Grace and peace,
Rev. Jennie Williams
