Blood Drive 

The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at Central on Dickson in building C, rooms 3-5 on January 12th 12:30 - 5:30pm. Sign up here to make an appointment. Your donation can save lives!

PARADE FLOAT WORKSHOP

Laissez les bons temps rouler! The City of Fayetteville Mardi Gras Committee will host a float-building workshop on January 15 at 6:30pm in Building C, rooms 3–5. This workshop will provide helpful information for the upcoming February 14th Mardi Gras Parade and the June 26th Pride Parade. Come join the fun and kick off the new year with us! CENTRAL ON GARLAND NEWS 

CONTINUING A LEGACY

Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville is excited to announce that Central on Garland has officially launched! This new ministry begins with deep gratitude for the legacy of the faith community that came before us.

For many years, this location served as the gathering place of Trinity United Methodist Church—a congregation known for its open hearts, its hospitality, and its long-standing commitment to serving neighbors through the Food Pantry.

As Central steps into this next chapter, our goal is simple: to be present in the neighborhood, building relationships, listening to the community, and caring for our neighbors. Beginning January 2026, you’ll see members of our team out and about—meeting folks, partnering with local organizations, and learning how we can serve well.

While worship services will launch later in 2026, we will continue activities during the week. For more information check us out here. 

In the months ahead, we invite you to stop by, say hello, and get to know us—especially during pantry hours. You can also follow Central on social media for updates, announcements, and opportunities to connect as we prepare to launch Central on Garland.

MISSIONS & MINISTRY

MEN'S MINISTRY MEDITATION GROUP

Our men's ministry is beginning a meditation group that will offer a supportive space to practice meditation, cultivate mindfulness, and reduce stress through guided reflection and quiet contemplation. The group meets every other Tuesday from 9:30–11:00 a.m., in the Wesley Library on the 3rd floor of Building B. For more information, contact Bob Gullett at rgullett@uams.edu.

MEN'S MINISTRY BRUNCH

Men’s Ministry Brunch is starting back up on January 10 at 9 am. Join us in the SMB Worship Center (Building D) for food, fellowship, and church engagement. All are welcome!

INCLUSIVE CONNECTIONS

Our Inclusive Connections ministry will start off the new year for their monthly meeting tonight, Thursday, January 8 @ 6:30 PM in Building B room 102. This month's guest speaker, Paul Fulks, will be talking about Allyship. All are welcome! 

NEXT GEN MINISTRIES

ACCYM VERITAS 2026

Deadline is February 6 to register your student for Veritas 2026! This special retreat takes place February 27– March 1 and gives our 6th–12th graders the opportunity to spend a weekend in Fort Smith worshiping and connecting with students from other UMC churches throughout the state.
