CORE CENTRAL SUNDAY (Click here to check out a message from Pastors Chase and Jennie!)Join us this Sunday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. in Building C for our annual Core Central Sunday. The morning will include a time of reflection and worship, a grab-and-go breakfast provided by our Central Men's Ministry, and an opportunity to serve together through a congregation-wide service project for Central at Garland directly following the service. On Saturday, April 11, at 10:00 am, our Garland campus volunteer team will be preparing to set
up the work stations for our Core Central projects. Here's what to expect on Sunday, April 12 after our 10 am service in Building C: A Flexible Day of Serving With weather in mind, most projects will be indoors working on hospitality prep, cleaning, painting prep, sanctuary work, and moving. No matter your skill level, there’s a place for you. Check-In at Garland Campus 1021 W Sycamore St. Start at Trinity Hall (Fellowship Hall entrance, north breezeway). This will be our
central hub for check-in, instructions, and support throughout the day. Prayer in the Work Hospitality teams will guide short prayer moments throughout the morning,
helping us dedicate each space as we serve. Painting prep & classroom work Moving
& furniture relocation Kids & family care (Dickson Campus, Building D) Prayer & reflection station Limited outdoor work (weather permitting) Bring What You Have Gloves, tools, painting supplies, cleaning items, or anything helpful. (We will have a stockpile of supplies as well!) Come Ready to Serve Whether you’re working, organizing, or praying, there’s a place for you. We’re preparing spaces for ministry together, and we can’t wait to see you there. We look forward to gathering, serving,

INCLUSIVE CONNECTIONSOur Inclusive Connections group will meet tonight, Thursday April 9 at 6:30 pm in Building B room 102. We’re excited to welcome our guest speaker, Vicki Harrod, as we discuss the book UnClobber: Rethinking Our Misuse of the Bible on
Homosexuality by Colby Martin. This book is a great resource to share with friends or loved ones who value inclusion but wrestle with “but the Bible says…” questions. UnClobber takes a fresh, thoughtful look at what the Bible does and does not say about homosexuality, challenging outdated interpretations, and offering new perspective. All are welcome! Listening Session with Rev. David WorthingtonOn Sunday, April 19, Central will welcome, Rev. David Worthington,Global Ambassador of Methodist Heritage Sites of the United Methodist Church. David will speak at both our 9:00 am and 11:00 am services, followed by a
Q&A session and light lunch in Building C from 12:30–2:30 pm. David Worthington is a graduate of Staffordshire University (1987) who spent two decades working in the financial and charity sectors in Bristol while serving in lay ministry within the Anglican Church. In 2006, he became Manager of John Wesley’s New
Room, where he led major heritage initiatives, including anniversary commemorations, fundraising campaigns, and site transformations that expanded visitor engagement. Appointed Director in 2017, he oversaw significant growth following redevelopment projects, and later became Director of Global Relationships in 2022 to focus on international Methodist engagement. A frequent speaker across the United States, he has delivered over 150 presentations in more than 30 states. In 2024, he was appointed
Global Ambassador of Methodist Heritage Sites by the United Methodist Church, promoting and preserving Methodist heritage through outreach, education, and global partnerships. Join us Sunday, April 19 to welcome guest speaker, Rev. David

CCA FUNDRAISER Central Children’s Academy invites families and community members to a special spring fundraiser on Saturday, April 25 from 3:00–6:00 PM in the CUMC parking lot. This festive, family-friendly event will feature student-created terracotta pots available for
purchase, giving children the opportunity to proudly share their creativity while supporting their school. Admission includes refreshments and activity tickets, making it a fun afternoon for all ages. Proceeds from the event will help support classroom resources and enrichment opportunities for CCA students. VBS 2026: We are On The Case!VBS is almost here! Mark your calendars for June 8–11 from 9:00–11:30am each day. Your rising K–6th grader is invited to grab their detective hat and join us for a fun, 4-day adventure as
